Meet our 2025 Scholarship Winners!

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

The Environmental Education Foundation Board was impressed with the quality of the students applications for our scholarships... from high school students planning their environmentally-focused college careers to teachers returning to take advance degrees to enhance their teaching skills.

Thomas E. Reynolds Scholars

The Thomas E. Reynolds Endowment Scholarship winners receive $16,000 dollars to support their college career spread over 4 years.  

  • Amanda Bender, the 2022 Reynolds Scholar attends University of Wisconsin – Madison, majoring in Plant Pathology.

  • Henry Koerner, our 2023 Reynolds scholar, attends University of Minnesota – Twin Cities, majoring in Agricultural Education.  

  • Emma Olson, the 2024 Reynolds Scholar is studying horticulture at University of Wisconsin – River Falls.

  • Brilie Esser, our 2025 TER scholar, will be attending the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point studying soil science and land management.

The Foundation also awarded Four, $3,000 EEF High School Scholarships.  Brooklyn Flies will be going to the University of Minnesota in Environmental Engineering.  Kason Klabunde will also be studying Environmental Engineering at University of Wisconsin – Riverfalls.  Moira Gerard is headed to Michigan Tech to study Ecology, Biology, and Engineering. Meghan Rudd will attend St. Mary’s Notre Dame, working on her degree in Environmental Science and Engineering.

Three students already in college were awarded EEF Undergraduate Scholarships. All three of these amazing students were EEF HS Scholarship winners last year.  Dylan Hulke is studying Aerospace Engineering at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.
Gage Nicholson is a Civil Engineering student at University of Wisconsin- Plattville – and already working in water quality. Maire Lucero is a Physics Major at University of Wisconsin Madison and already has been active as a researcher on Geneva Lake.

The Thomas Cashman Post-Graduate Scholarships were awarded to three scholars. 
Sam Ahler is working on his Doctorate in ecology and evolutionary biology at University of Colorado – Boulder.  Ave Beyer has been a Reynolds scholar for 4 years and is now
pursuing an advance degree environmental observation and informatics at University of Wisconsin – Madison.  Chelsea Miller is a science teacher at Badger High School and is working on her doctorate in environmental education at Alverno College.
